Wednesday, June 19, 2013  From the PrincipalDear Families,We thank you for joining us this week for parent-teacher conferences. These meetings are an important component of our progress reporting system and help us to build strong home-school partnerships that benefit our students. We hope that you received meaningful information about your child's progress and accomplishments. Final report cards will be sent home on June 9th. Item number 3 below details the highlights from the special Board of Education meeting that was held this past Monday evening. In addition to information about the tax levy, 2011 budget, referendum debriefing, and enrollment projections, you will notice a section on administrative changes, and some of these have a direct impact on Central. It has been an honor to have served as Central's principal these past eight years, working with the most wonderful children, parents, and staff with whom any school leader could possibly be blessed. It is, therefore, with bittersweet feelings that I am making my transition to the District Offices as the Administrator for Curriculum and Instruction for all schools in District 39. I know that Central will be in the very best of hands with Mrs. Becky Littmann serving as the Interim Principal. Becky and I have really functioned as co-administrators for four years now, and she is more than ready--and very excited--to assume this new role. A process is also in place for hiring a part-time Assistant Principal who will work with Becky.
